8a Certification Requirements

  • Must qualify as a small business.

  • Owned by individuals with a personal net worth of $750,000 or less.
  • Ownership includes individuals with an average adjusted gross income of $350,000 or less over three years.
  • Owned by someone with total assets of $6 million or less.
  • The owner must manage day-to-day operations and make long-term strategic decisions.
  • All principals must exhibit good character.
  • Demonstrate the potential for success and capability to successfully execute contracts.
