Federal Networking Strategy (FNS)
How do I get the most out of federal contracting? It’s a question many wise small business owners and managers ask and one we hear often at the Federal Contracting Center. It’s also the reason we’ve developed our unique Federal Networking Strategy (FNS) service.
Whether you already know about “Simplified Acquisition Procedure Contracts” or are learning about them for the first time, they can benefit your business. They’re often referred to as the low-hanging fruit in government contracting and are one of the quickest and most direct ways to ring up sales.
Our Federal Networking Strategy system helps you win government contracts quickly and effectively.
Our mission is to help you take a thorough, methodical approach to winning contracts and getting ahead of your competitors by tying together all the necessary details. Successful government contracting is a game of details, and we help you get it right to sell your products or services to governmental entities.
Win More Federal Contracts with a Two-Part Approach
The FNS system helps you get the most out of federal contracting in two ways: by posting accurate and optimized business data and leveraging information about the government agencies that buy your products or services. Working in two ways increases the speed and likelihood of winning contracts.
SAM Registration (or Renewal), SBA Business Profile, and the Capability Statement
Everything begins with ensuring the right data and information about your business are uploaded to government systems. Our federal contracting experts work with you to register or renew with SAM (the System for Award Management). We’ll also ensure your SBA (Small Business Administration) profile and capability statement are thoroughly and correctly written and optimized.
Access to the FED Database to Target Your Marketing and Outreach
Continually updated information about every contracting officer agency with verified name, address, phone, and email. It includes every dollar awarded under the small businesses’ primary NAICS Code (North American Industry Classification System). NAICS Codes identify what the business specializes in, which can consist of 5-15 codes. You can check the award history for active solicitations, contracting agencies, and awards. It’s an excellent way to build relationships and win federal, state, or local government contracts.
FNS gets your house in order online and combines it with access to information that can make your marketing proactive and effective. The combination will turbocharge your government contracting initiatives and vastly improve your chances of winning new and profitable business.
Federal Contracting Has Low-Hanging Fruit
Learn About Simplified Acquisition Procedure Contracts
Although federal contracting may seem complicated or even intimidating initially, the FNS system helps you prevail and find the low-hanging fruit – a business that’s faster and less complicated to win. One of the most important ways is through Simplified Acquisition Procedure Contracts (SAPCs).
How do they work? Contracting officers can award SAPCs by soliciting bids/pricing from three vendors and selecting the one offering the best pricing and products/services. It’s one of the best ways to get started as a federal contractor and see additional sales and revenue without long waits.
As mentioned above, a current SAM registration and a strategically written SBA company profile are prerequisites. Once they are active and you can access the FED database, you can begin looking for and finding these opportunities. For many companies, they are significant.

Building and Establishing Branding and Winning Contracts
Why Work with Federal Contacting Center?
The FNS (Federal Networking Strategy) service is one of the most important ways we can help your small business grow and expand as a government contractor, but it’s not the only way. Starting a relationship with us opens many doors for you because we take a 360-degree view of your contracting needs.
Our other services offer you a breadth of capabilities that are helpful to your success. If you’re not already familiar, each deserves your consideration as you work on growing your contracting business.
We are formally endorsed by a former federal contracting officer of 26 years; who knows that government agencies do business with those that they know, like, and trust. FNS brings your company to the direct agencies and offices and establishes those vital relationships needed to start the process. The essence of our FNS service is to help your company target the governmental entities needing and buying your products or services.
Learn How to Get Paid Promptly
Ensuring you’re paid on time is one of the biggest concerns business owners and managers have about U.S. government contracting. Given the size and slow-moving nature of government agencies, it’s a legitimate consideration. Just as we are in other areas, the Federal Contracting Center is here to assist.
When small businesses submit invoices under $10,000, contracting agencies can swipe a ‘P Card’ to expedite payment. It’s one of the ways to get paid promptly and quickly. We’ll help get those jobs underway, so you’re earning money from government contracts for your goods or services.
FNS is a Strategic Advantage in Federal Contracting
FNS validates all the real dollars spent by direct target market research of awarded contracts that fall under your primary expertise of provided goods or services. Anyone in a small business, and especially those in selling roles, understands that taking an organized and strategic approach to marketing is always best. It’s exactly what our FNS system gives you and the results will be quick in coming when you take advantage of the service.
- File the required registrations (SAM)
- Introduce your company properly online (SBA profile, capability statement)
